Can Glyco 6 cream cause redness or peeling? I notice small patches peeling after 2 days of use.

After applying glyco 6 cream, I noticed some redness and slight peeling around my nose and chin. Is this expected because of exfoliation, or is it irritation? I’m not sure if this means it’s working or harming my skin.
