First of all, please understand that Type 1 diabetes mellitus is insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. This means that insulin production in the body is hampered due to a genetic disorder, and it produces little to no insulin of its own. Hence insulin is injected into the system from external sources like injections to keep the blood glucose levels in control, which is the main function of the insulin hormone. Diabecon contains gymnemic acid, Epicatechin, and Shilajeet. However, there is no evidence (scientific) that these herbs can cure Type 1 diabetes or eliminate the need for insulin. Thus, it is not recommended to start Diabecon without consultation of the diabetologist. Plus, it is recommended to not pause insulin injections without consulting a diabetologist.
