I use Becosules along with other vitamins and tablets. Can it cause any interaction or side effects?
I take Becosules along with a few other vitamin tablets daily. Just wanted to know if that’s okay, or if it can cause any reaction or side effects when combined? Has anyone tried taking multiple vitamins together?
Dear Reader,
Becosules already contains a combination of B-complex vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, folic acid) plus vitamin C, and sometimes other nutrients depending on the brand. If you’re taking other vitamin tablets along with it, it’s worth checking their composition. Many multivitamins already include the same B vitamins, leading to unnecessary duplication.
Here’s what to keep in mind:
- B-vitamin overlap: Taking multiple supplements with B-complex vitamins can cause excess intake, leading to mild effects such as nausea, headache, tingling, or stomach upset. While these vitamins are water-soluble and extra amounts are usually excreted, very high doses over time can strain the body.
- Vitamin A, D, E, and K (fat-soluble vitamins): If any of your other tablets contain these, avoid taking high doses together, since these vitamins accumulate in the body and can cause toxicity when overused.
- Iron or calcium supplements: These are safe to take with Becosules, but it’s best to space them out by 2–3 hours for better absorption.
- Read the labels of all your supplements to see if they contain the same vitamins.
- Take them after food to avoid nausea or stomach upset.
- If you’re unsure about the right combination or dosage, show all your supplement packs to your doctor or pharmacist.
