Reversal of Type 2 diabetes means bringing the blood glucose levels to a non-diabetic range or normal range. There are several ways that can help you control blood sugar, which may or may not lead to diabetes reversal. Here are a few tips:

  • Contact a dietician to get on a low glycaemic index diet, as this helps control your blood sugar spikes.
  • Routine exercise will help you lose any extra weight and prevent weight gain; this in turn will promote diabetes reversal.
  • Cut down your intake of alcohol and quit smoking as both of these are strong factors that affect blood sugar levels.
  • Ensure you have high fiber and low carbohydrate, low fat meals. Work with your dietitian to identify a suitable diet plan that fulfils these and still gives you adequate daily nutrients.

Please avoid any product or medication that claims to cure diabetes or replace your prescribed medication. Again, consulting your physician before taking on such products may save you from illegally marketed products.
