My relative has had Type 2 diabetes for 23 years. Recently, in the past few days, his creatinine levels have increased from 1.2 to 1.3. How can it be reversed?
Creatinine helps analyse the kidney functioning of the body. Elevated blood sugar levels can be harmful to the functioning of kidneys. It has been seen that individuals with proper controlled blood sugar have stable and well-maintained creatinine levels along with proper functioning of kidneys. Thus it is recommended to keep your blood sugar levels in control. These tips might help reduce creatinine levels: Avoid taking medications such as NSAIDs(non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) which may increase the load on kidneys. Drink a good amount of water every day coupled with a proper and healthy diet along with routine exercises daily from time to time.
