Ayurveda has been an age-old field. Although the medicine is CSIR approved, there isn't any mention of the FDA Approval. There are several Ayurveda medications available claiming to cure diabetes, but there isn't much study, research work or case reports proving the same. Be it allopathy, Ayurveda or homoeopathy, no field can cure diabetes. All of them may control or help maintain a base level. In some cases, people do consume both Allopathic and Ayurvedic medicine together, but it can become difficult to ascertain the efficacy of either and may contraindicate. Avoid starting any Ayurvedic medicine without consulting an Ayurvedic Physician and a diabetologist. They would be in the best position to decide the efficacy and safety of this medication. It is recommended that you should keep a check on your blood sugar levels to track the efficacy of any medication.
